ZSL London Zoo is excited to announce our new Zoo Veterinary Careers Days! This one-day interactive course is aimed at 13-18 year olds who want to work within the zoo veterinary career – as vets, vet nurses or as enrichment and behaviour experts.
How long is work experience at the zoo?
All of our work experience placements follow zoo operational hours (40 hours) with placements taking place for 5 days out of 7 on a rotational basis, including weekends. The 10 weeks placements are only for students enrolled on an animal related course who are required to do 10 weeks work experience as a course requirement.
Do you offer work experience placements for animal care students?
We can offer animal care work experience placements of a five day working week (Mon-Fri) for a maximum of three weeks per student. We can also provide placements of one day a week across a number of months. All applicants must be a minimum age of 16 years old and be working towards an animal based qualification.
