What is Linux Lux?
lux changes your computer display’s color temperature according to location and time of day. It was designed to reduce eye strain during night-time use and disruption of sleep patterns. The f. lux for Linux is a command line daemon and the GUI is an indicator applet created by Kilian Valkhof.
Does F Lux have malware?

However, there’s no conclusive date that proves dark mode works for anything besides extending the battery life of your device. Where can I find the 32-bit version of xflux?
The 32-bit command-line version is available here: xflux.tgz. The indicator project (GUI) was begun by Kilian Valkhof (creator of trimage) in 2010. A group of volunteer maintainers are fixing bugs currently. f.lux maintains the command-line daemon.

How do I open an applet in fluxgui?
xflux is downloaded automatically when installing fluxgui. Simply run fluxgui in your terminal after installation to open the applet. You can also easily configure the applet to auto-start on login. The fluxgui is only known to work with Python 3.
How do I install fluxgui on Fedora?
There is no Fedora package provided yet. Please use Manual Install below. To install manually you first install the dependencies using your package manager, and then install fluxgui using the provided setup.py. The manual install can be done locally or system wide.
