Ingeus employability services support unemployed people to get back into work and we support people who are accessing psychological therapies and also require employment advice. The world of work is changing so fast that people can easily be left behind.

What’s the restart scheme?

The Restart Scheme helps long-term unemployed people to start working. We provide a wide range of support options, including skills training, job application and interview preparation, financial help, online tools and health and wellbeing support.

How long is the restart Programme?

The Scheme will provide up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant.

Where is the restart scheme?

The Restart Scheme is part of the government’s Plan for Jobs. Commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions, Ingeus delivers the Restart Scheme in Greater Manchester and Central and West London and is partner to Serco in Central West Midlands.

How long does job entry targeted support last?

Our Employment Advisors will support individuals for up to 6 months through one to one meetings, helping you to overcome barriers to employment and identify transferable skills to expand your opportunities.

Is the Work and Health Programme mandatory?

The Work and Health Programme helps you find and keep a job if you’re out of work. It’s voluntary – unless you’ve been out of work and claiming unemployment benefits for 24 months.

Is DWP restart mandatory?

Please Note: Restart is a mandatory employment programme which means that you may mandate Participants to undertake activity to help them to prepare for or move into work, subject to their circumstances and capabilities.

What age is the restart scheme for?

The Restart Scheme is a new £2.9 billion funding scheme commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Its’ aim is to give enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants aged 18 and above and who have been unemployed for 12 to 18 months.

The Restart Scheme will give Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 9 months enhanced support to find jobs in their local area.

What is entry targeted support?

This programme is designed to help people to find work who have been unemployed and in receipt of benefits for at least 13 weeks.
