If you are only visiting for the day you should consider a mini bus, van, or pony & trap tour. If you are comfortable and used to cycling this is a great option too. The island is too big to walk all in one day but if you are staying overnight or for a few days that would be a nice option.

No, it is not suitable for swimming. It is a tidal pool and when the tide is out, I’ve no idea how you would get out of it. It would be very dangerous. When the tide is high, the waves come crashing into the pool and the ebb and flow would be very strong.
