The film concludes with the Aculos device back in the hands of the fairy LEP, Artemis’ father (Colin Farrell) returned to Fowl manor and Holly’s (Lara McDonnell) father redeemed posthumously, with the schemes of evil pixie Opal Koboi foiled.
Does Opal Koboi die?
Opal’s death was very similar to another Eoin Colfer antagonist named Albert Garrick. Both were tricked by the main character, then declared their murderous intentions, causing them to be killed by one of their own henchmen.

Does domovoi Butler die?
Most missed, but one managed to clip Blunt’s temple, rendering the bodyguard unconscious. Artemis then crawled out from underneath Butler and the bodyguard issued his final goodbye and told his charge his first name of Domovoi, something no bodyguard was to do unless it no longer mattered, before passing away.
Does Artemis date Holly?
In the novel, Holly kisses Artemis, likes it, and quickly attributes it to the effects of time travel as she is now an adolescent fairy.
